I would sing.
I mean really sing.
I mean opera.
I could say world peace, or end starvation, or understanding. Those would be great. True love -- fabulous. Send my exes to live in Antarctica with only enough protection to keep them from death -- fun.
I could say I wouldn't have screwed up some of my relationships. But I would have. I know it. They know it (and now you do too).
The fact is, if I could do anything, anything at all, it wouldn't be noble, and it wouldn't be evil. It would Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro.

Wow... Such a strange synchronicity... Singing has always been my dream, too... glad you wrote that, so I don't have to. The most vividly painful dream never encouraged. I could actually sing pretty well, but it was all made invisible by the reaction from the near ones. Like I didn't or couldn't do it at all. In retrospect, I still don't understand it...Why not. And easily forgotten it was. Would just surface every now and then. And then stuffed deeply forever. Or not. In fact, I wasn't going to write about it at all. And now that you did, all I can say is "wow."
